We feel that it's time to unite, as a collective group for some much needed changes to the automotive recycling industry. I have been involved in automotive recycling for the past 25 years. As a previous yard owner I have experienced all the up's and downs that goes along with managing and operating a successful business. We are all aware that the changes to our industry are constant. However many of the trials and tribulations we face are not necessarily of our own making. Why is it that we are always the ones that are expected to adapt to the industry changes? Shouldn't we have a voice and some input in these changes?
In speaking with yard owners and operators many express concerns about the direction our industry is heading in. I think most would agree that changes are necessary to maintain our profitability and survival as automotive recyclers. The question is how do we make these changes? We can accomplish this by uniting! By uniting as a group we can share concerns, discuss ideas, develop and implement a plan of action.
